Patrick Marlow
Patrick is a Staff Engineer on the Vertex Applied AI Incubator team, where he is dedicated to extending Google’s cutting-edge Large Language Model (LLM) technologies. He focuses on building tooling and reusable assets that make these powerful technologies more accessible, particularly within the Conversational AI ecosystem, working with products like Vertex Search and Google’s Customer Engagement Suite. Previously, he was an AI Engineer in Google’s Professional Services Organization. Prior to Google, he was the Principal Data Architect at Levelset, a construction technology company, specializing in NLP Data Pipelines and OCR tooling. Patrick also served as the Director of Engineering and Data Science for Amelia.ai, delivering chat and voice bots to Fortune 500 clients.
Patrick studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.
He co-authored Google’s Generative AI Agents whitepaper, is a frequent contributor to the Open Source community and a distinguished speaker on AI, known for demystifying complex topics to audiences of thousands. He is based in Austin, Texas.

Using her dry wit, historical anecdotes, and a very direct tone, Dr. Epstein is a frequent presenter about building resilient supply chains, digital and AI transformations, and the future of business. She is author of three books:

Matt McCarrick
Over the past 20 years, Matt’s experience included serving as VP of Client Strategy at Iasta (Acquired by Corecentric), COO of BuyerQuest (Acquired by ODP), and Partner at JAG Advisory, LLC, a boutique advisory firm providing Procurement, Technology, and GenAI services. Matt attended George Mason University (Political Science) and is currently enrolled in the post-graduate program at the University of Texas (Austin) McCombs School of Business where he is studying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Hala Jalwan
Hala Jalwan is a product leader with over a decade of experience building supply chain and AI products. After completing her Master's in Supply Chain Management at MIT, she joined Meta as the founding product lead of their supply chain team. There, she developed supply chain software that enabled the successful launch of Oculus and Facebook Reality Lab hardware. In the latter half of her career, Hala has focused on artificial intelligence, holding key product roles at Google Assistant and, most recently, in Apple's intelligence division. Building on her expertise in procurement and AI, she founded Rivio, a platform that helps procurement and finance teams enforce governance, compliance, and spend control within organizations.

Erwann Couesbot is the Co-Founder and CEO of FlipThrough, an agentic platform designed to streamline procurement processes, including automated vendor agreement analysis, vendor evaluation, and negotiation.
Before launching FlipThrough, Erwann served as Strategic Sourcing and Commercial Advisory Practice Manager at UpperEdge. In this role, he advised C-level procurement and IT executives at Fortune 500 companies like Amazon, TJX, Xcel Energy, and Sempra, as well as federal agencies, guiding them through critical software and IT transformation initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Erwann was Managing Director at KRK Capital Partners, an investment banking and corporate advisory firm specializing in M&A advisory for middle-market energy and clean technology companies.
